The Blocker Control Halter provides a safer, humane alternative
to the stud chain. It is designed as a training tool to help you
gain the respect and control of your horse using a pressure and
release system.
FITTING INSTRUCTIONS: Both the rubber and the chain are
nosebands. Neither the rubber nor chain should be beneath the
horse’s chin. To fit halter properly, adjust chain so that it hangs
approximately 1" below rubber noseband.
USE: If your horse begins to pull or lean on the lead rope, pop
the lead rope. The nylon-encased cable crown and rubber nose will
immediately apply pressure. The rubber stretches as the horse
reacts to the pressure. If the horse gives to the pressure, the
rubber noseband relaxes and the pressure release is immediate. If
the horse continues to pull to push or pull through the rubber
noseband, the rubber noseband will stretch until the chain engages
increasing the pressure on the nose. When the horse gives to the
pressure, the rubber will contract giving the horse instant relief
from the chain.
Remember, it's the release of pressure that allows the Blocker
Control Halter to work as a training tool. The horse gets instant
relief, therefore, learning something from the lesson. This unique
system allows the horse to respond positively and immediately
rewards good behavior. The Blocker Control Halter can be used as a
training tool or to help correct bad behavior. It gives you control
only when you need it.
The Blocker Control Halter is not intended to solve tying or
pull back problems. Do not use the Control Halter or any halter to
tie a horse with a tying problem unless used in conjunction with a
Blocker Tie Ring. Do not use as a turnout halter.
