The Matrix Saddle Pads and Inserts are made in the United States. Slypner Gear offers the Matrix Sport Endurance Pad, Matrix English Endurance Pad AND the various specialized inserts available for these pads, individually. This saddle pad system is versatile, allowing a rider quick and easy saddle pad choices. You can switch inserts for different horses or different needs, using the same pad.

The Matrix system allows you to choose from 3 different pad inserts.

LO-IMPACT: Often chosen for general riding and schooling. A good choice for horses in a conditioning program. A very good choice for horses with back issues. The low density viscoelastic foam mimics the density of muscle tissue. It offers a wide supportive base without restricting or inhibiting muscle movement. The low density foam allows for expansion of soft tissue as the conditioning program continues. These inserts are 25 mm thick.

PRO-IMPACT: This is a great choice during athletic performance or intense schooling. It is especially beneficial during endurance competition. This pad is ultra-light and ultra-thin. It has TWO layers of Poron® XRD, treated with Microban®. The layer closest to the horse is a high density, perforated, 13mm thick foam. The layer on top of that is a high density, perforated, 5 mm thick foam. Of the three insert choices, the PRO-IMPACT is the most ventilated, the most concussion reducing and the most energy absorbing. These inserts are 18 mm thick.

When choosing your Matrix pad, choose the inserts most suited to your horse's needs. Inserts are purchased separately so that you can switch inserts to suit different horses or your different needs, whilst still using the same pad.
