spent a total of 30 years working with horses and 12 years as a full
time farrier when he developed the world’s first practical hoof boot,
the ‘Old Macs’ multi-purpose hoof boot in 1998.
The Scoot Boot is the latest innovation in hoof boot technology.
This boot is simple and easy to fit. The Scoot Boot will not get soggy, heavy or wet when riding through wet
terrain, because its constructed of very strong
thermo-plastic urethane (TPU) as well as the securing straps, which
gives the Scoot Boot superb strength to stand up to all types of terrain
that you and your horse may ride over. Unlike other hoof boots, there
will be no Velcro straps clogged with mud, hair and other debris; there
will be no broken cables and there will be nothing that needs to be
replaced. Any person from the very young to the very old will be able to
fit the Scoot Boot onto their horse’s hoof due to its ease of use. The
Scoot Boot will fit all kinds of hoof shapes.
Whether your horse’s hoof is longer than wider or wider than longer the
Scoot Boot will give your horse a very secure fit.

Sizes increase in 5mm increments, so if your measurement is 2mm or less
past the end of the heel buttresses, then select the size closest to
the RED buttress line. For example, if your measurement indicates your
hoof length is 122mm in length then you select size 3, (which is 120mm).
If your measurement is 3mm over the 120mm measurement, then select the
next size up (which is 125mm, and a size 4).
